A heartfelt hats-off to my incredible mom, Barbara Kenyon! Today, she and I co-created a miracle that filled me with awe. Part of me truly doubted it could be done—honestly, it felt impossible —but a bigger part of me, fueled by desire, patience, and determination, knew we could overcome it together. And we did!
Here’s the story: We tackled a technological challenge that neither of us—two self-proclaimed non-tech-savvy souls—had any business attempting. The mission? Create an online account from scratch, complete with multiple steps, scans of critical IDs, and the juggling of an iPad and an iPhone. Oh, and did I mention we’re 5,000 miles apart? She’s in sunny Florida, while I’m on a island in the middle of the Pacific
I went into it with an open heart, thinking, “If this takes three hours, so be it—it’s a chance to share some precious quality time with my mom.” And you know what? I needed a good break afterwards, AND…It was worth every second.
Right when we hit the trickiest part, as if on cue, my sister and her husband popped into Mom’s room. Without us even asking, they jumped in with encouragement and hands-on support, helping us cross the finish line. Together, we did it—success! I am grateful for them
I’m so proud of my mom—her unwavering steadfastness, her gentle patience, and her endless willingness to hang in there until the task was complete. She’s taught me so much about patience. I used to get frustrated with her over things like this, but today, she showed me how love and teamwork can transform even the most daunting tasks into something beautiful.
To some, this might sound like a small win. But to me? It’s a 100% miracle. The timing, the teamwork, the connection—it was all perfect.
Now, I’d love to hear from you! What miracles—big or small—have you experienced today, this week, or at any point in your life? Do you even believe in miracles? Or maybe there’s a moment you connected with a loved one that warmed your soul. Share your story!
