Cory MacNeil took the stage at The Ultimate Experience in Scottsdale, and while I may not remember every word he spoke, what landed with me was undeniable.
The Power of Presence
His presence was unwavering—so steady, so rooted in who he is, that his stability anchored the entire room. Cory has a rare gift: the ability to help people stand in their own knowing. He shared a powerful statement that struck me deeply:
“The truth is, I don’t know if I’ll have the opportunity to stand on this stage next year, BUT I am right now.”
And then he followed with:
“What are you going to do right now?”
That moment wasn’t just a fleeting thought for him—it became a way of being, something that ignited in him that day and has never left. I know that experience well. And I have no doubt that others in the room felt it too—something real, something alive, still unfolding weeks later.
A Connection That Transcends
After his talk, I reached out to Cory, wanting to connect face to face, heart to heart. He embodies “All is well” in everything he does. There’s an ease about being around him—he doesn’t need anything. He simply is.
And in that being, he helped me wholeheartedly, sharing ideas that would support me in building my business in Hawaii.
Perspective Is Everything
Cory shared something that stuck with me—he lives in a place where it’s deeply cold and snowy, yet he calls it paradise. That mindset shift was powerful.
So often, we define our circumstances by external factors, but Cory reminds us that paradise is a state of being, not a location.
The Power of Fear vs. Gain
One of Cory’s insights was especially eye-opening:
Fear is 2.5 times more motivating than the thought of gain.
As coaches, we guide people toward clarity—helping them uncover what they truly want. But when we recognize that fear holds 2.5 times the weight of that desire, our role becomes clear:
We help dissolve that fear so that what they once longed for becomes their reality.
The 3 Points of Goal Achievement
Another profound teaching from Cory was the three points to goal achievement:
- Ask
- Receive
- Allow
What struck me the most was his emphasis on allowing. He shared that the moment something is sincerely asked, it is already given—it has been received. The only thing left is allowing it to become reality.
That truth hit me on a deeply personal level.
How many of us have already received the very thing we desire, yet haven’t allowed ourselves to step into it?
Living in Unlimited Possibility
As a final note of wisdom, Cory said something that embodies what we, as coaches, stand for:
“We, as dedicated coaches, live in the realm of possibility. We see the limitless potential in others, and we help them see it too.”
And so, I leave you with this: May you live in the experience of unlimited possibility!
