I just returned to Honolulu from the most loving, powerful, and inspiring event I have ever attended—The Ultimate Experience. And that’s exactly what it was!
Over the next few days, I’ll be sharing the extraordinary people I met, the profound experiences I had, and the miracles that unfolded before, during, and after this event, which took place in Scottsdale, Arizona, from January 24–26.
But first, I want to introduce a man who has profoundly transformed my life—Gary Mahler.
A Miracle in Motion
My journey with Gary began with a miracle.
I was reading The Book of Being—The Ultimate Coach by Amy Hardison—when I came across a vignette about Gary. His story touched me so deeply that I felt compelled to seek him out. To my surprise, he was living in Tokyo—exactly where I was at the time.
I visited his website, watched a video, and was struck by a strange yet undeniable feeling: his way of speaking, even something about his presence, felt familiar—almost like seeing a reflection of myself.
I intended to reach out, but my mind resisted:
“He’s a world-class coach. Do you think he’ll even respond?”
“Could you afford his coaching fees?”
Doubt won, and I didn’t take action.
Then, a few days later, something extraordinary happened.
A Divine Nudge
One morning, as I awoke, I heard a voice:
“Translate the book into Japanese.”
Instantly, I knew which book and why.
I reached out to Steve Hardison, who directed me to his wife, Amy. Within days, she granted me the honor of translating The Ultimate Coach into Japanese.
Not long after, I received an unexpected email from Steve. It wasn’t about the translation. Instead, it was an introduction—to Gary Mahler.
I had never told Steve about my desire to meet Gary. Yet, in his email, he wrote:
“Gary, it might be good for you to meet Bodhi Kenyon. He’s a brilliant human being. When you meet him, tell him that I love him.”
I had never been called a brilliant human being before.
Tears poured down my face. Steve had not only connected me to Gary but also recognized something in me I had never fully seen or accepted.
Meeting Gary
A few days later, Gary and I met in front of Sugamo Station.
I embraced him with a big hug, and we went to the rooftop of the building where I lived. Overlooking the vast expanse of Tokyo, we spoke—but mostly, we sat in silence.
Gary asked me deep questions. I answered.
Then silence.
More silence than words.
And in that space, something shifted.
Gary reflected back to me the incredible life I had created—one I had been too busy judging to appreciate. Until that moment, I had focused on what I hadn’t accomplished rather than what I had.
His presence opened new possibilities within me.
A Transformational Bond
In the weeks that followed, I met Gary several times. He introduced me to his extraordinary children and his wonderful wife. He encouraged me to step up, serve at a higher level, and create what he called an “I WANT THAT!!!” level of desire.
Through this partnership, a miracle unfolded.
Within six months, I met, enrolled, and coached a man to an extraordinary level of experience—an outcome that once seemed impossible. That man continues to grow.
Gary and I remained in touch, even after we both left Japan in 2024. Then, in January 2025, another synchronicity occurred—we both happened to be in Oahu at the same time.
A New Family
During this reunion, Gary introduced me to his brother and parents, and I instantly fell in love with them. They welcomed me as family—inviting me into their home, taking me out to dinner, covering my Uber rides, and even stocking my fridge.
Beyond their generosity, they embodied something profound: Love. Abundance. Joy. Peace.
They demonstrated a truth I had struggled to embrace—that love and abundance are not separate.
For over 50 years, a part of me had resisted financial abundance, believing it was a barrier to God. At times I was filled with severe judgment and jealousy around those who have financial abundance. But my time with Gary and his family shattered that illusion.
There is no limit to God, so God doesn’t limit us.
Love and abundance are not at odds—they walk hand in hand.
The Invitation
One morning, Gary and I walked around Diamond Head.
In that quiet space, a pebble dropped into the still pond of my soul.
I don’t remember the exact words, but Gary extended an invitation: to attend The Ultimate Experience in Scottsdale.
Instantly, the body went cold. The heart pounded.
The mind hesitated.
Then, after a quick check to make sure Honolulu-to-Scottsdale flight fees weren’t exorbitant, I said YES.
And that yes changed everything.
